Good Citizens in Second Grade
Today, May 27,  second grade classrooms gathered under the C.S.S. Gazebo to donate plants that were grown by students during the National Geographic reading program’s Everything Changes unit. The students were very happy to donate to The Bridge, an organization in Southbridge that provides evidence-based, compassionate services for people of all ages with mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, brain injuries and complex family problems.
The Second Graders have been practicing good citizenship this year, first donating money raised for a well to provide clean water to a needy village in Africa and now giving back to their own community of Southbridge. Thank you to an awesome group of kids!
