       Reading Game Winner

Congratulations to 3rd grader Craig Bouchard of Charlton St. School for being declared a winner of the 2015 MTA Red Sox Reading Game.  Craig and Mrs. Champney, his second grade teacher, both received a pair of tickets to the Red Sox Game at Fenway Park to be held on Saturday, September 5.  The Reading Game is one of the Massachusetts Teacher Association’s most successful literacy programs, enlisting students across Massachusetts to read thousands of books. Thank you to Mrs. Champney for distributing the entry forms to her students and to help promote summer literacy.

Reach Out and Read Day at CSS
On Thursday, May 28, 2015, the PTA was thrilled to celebrate Reach Out and Read Day.  Readers included local business owners, civil servants, former teachers, parents and other interested community members.  The PTA provided a book for each reader which was then donated to the class with the intent that students realize that reading is not only important, but fun!  Thank you to all of the wonderful readers who took time out of their busy day!
